Herman Wainggai

Herman Wainggai, as a former political prisoner, has been living in exile in Australia. He is a Visiting Scholar at the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University, and a leader in West Papua’s self determination struggle, as well as a mentor of the non-violent student’s movement in West Papua.

Mr. Wainggai currently resides in the Washington D.C. area as an international advocate for West Papua with a goal of garnering U.S. support for West Papua’s independence.
